Symptoms: Highly anxious, stuck in “fight or flight”.
While surface qEEG imaging gives an overview of brain arousal, SW LORETA 3-d imaging gives us more detail. It shows us how specific dysregulated brain areas are linked to each person’s symptoms and allows us to target them precisely with SW LORETA neurofeedback, for a highly effective and completely individualized treatment.
The image below shows Karen’s brain activity when we first saw her, in February 2022. It showed over-arousal in the thalamus, posterior cingulate gyrus and the cingulate cortex – brain areas linked to the brain’s resting state and with emotional processing. Our initial assessment identified the areas to be trained with neurofeedback.
