This treatment combines Floortime therapy (a type of play therapy), and parent education in order to help children with ASD engage in meaningful activities and connect socially with others. The extreme focus on individualized care has made DIRFloortime stand out from other ASD therapies and has been shown to be effective for both young children (ages 2-5) as well as adults over 18 years old.
